Top Line: First Insight Corporation, developers of MaximEyes EHR software for optometrists and ophthalmologists, announced that on March 26, 2018, MaximEyes EHR software (Version 3.0) received the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Health IT Certification, meeting 100 percent of ONC’s base certification criteria.
Close Up: MaximEyes EHR was tested and certified through the Drummond Group, an ONC Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and has been certified in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
“The 2015 ONC health IT certification enables eligible clinicians (ECs) who use MaximEyes EHR software to meet technology, capability, functionality and security requirements for CMS value-based care programs, including the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Alternative Payment Models (APMs) and the Medicaid EHR incentive program,” said Nitin Rai, president, CEO and founder of First Insight Corporation. “Built-in MIPS tools within MaximEyes EHR further simplifies incentive program compliance with MIPS calculators, measure indicators, and automated reporting that comply with MACRA reporting requirements.
