LaunchPad: Sunwear Collection Face a Face Unveils New Sunglass Collection By Staff Friday, October 19, 2018 12:05 AM More Images Quick Take: Face a Face by Design Eyewear Group has released its latest collection of sunwear featuring a soft color palette and striking lens designs. Specifics: “Our new collection is all about exploring colors and the dynamic movement created by sculpting with light,” said Pascal Jaulent, head of design at Face a Face. “Playful transparencies highlight the contrasts between being and not being, challenging the viewer and creating optical illusions.”Selling Points: The Gatsby frame style exudes an elegant, sophisticated look with its graphical lines and shapes which are a tribute to the 1920s Art Deco aesthetic and color palette. The deconstruction of the lines, creates an opening and illuminates the front. The Meyer echoes the aesthetic of the steel frame windows from the first Bauhaus manifesto by architects Meyer and Gropius. The strong outlines are formed by pressing two layers of acetate together creating a unique expression. The Spark concept plays with a golden bridge and golden temples with the transparent line deconstructing the front, creating a new geometry of the frame. This is inspired by the ‘Anarchitecture’ of Gordon Matta-Clark. www.designeyeweargroup.com
