Several hundred industry executives gathered for a two-hour session that explored the role of private equity in the eyecare business segment. The session, “Private Equity Takes Root: What Does it Mean for Optometry?” a program by Review of Optometric Business and Vision Monday with the support of Vision Expo featured three optometrists with perspectives on optometry trends, the rise of PE investment and the ‘decision tree’ ODs can use. A special panel featured four CEOs representing the leading PE-backed management companies with extensive holdings in eyecare.
