Social Influence Is Focus of 2nd CLICK Conference

LAS VEGAS—The expanding influence of digital media and how social influence is changing brands’ and eyecare businesses’ profiles on the web is the focus of The 2nd Annual CLICK Conference, set for Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, just prior to the start of International Vision Expo West here. Sponsored by The Hoya Free-Form Company, the 2011 CLICK Conference will be held at the Sands/Venetian Convention Center, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Speakers from within the eyecare professional community will talk about what’s working best for them. And a panel of web and digital media experts will discuss trends and offer their insights into the opportunities and messages for eyecare and optical retailers’ social media participation.

“Social Circles” speakers include: Nathan Bonilla-Warford, OD of Bright Eyes Tampa and Suzanne Berardi-Gould of Doctors Vision Center.

Bonilla-Warford is an optometrist specializing in the vision of infants and children. He chairs the social media committee of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and also founded Foursquare Day in March 2010.

Suzanne Berardi-Gould is director of creative services with Doctors Vision Center, a 43-store OD/MD group in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. She has been involved in the launch and execution of Doctors Vision Center’s new social and digital media initiatives.
