NEW YORK—Barton Perreira opened the doors to its first flagship store here last month.

The new boutique, just off Madison Avenue on 66th Street, echoes the sleek, designs of the brand’s ophthalmic frames and sunglasses. The new store marks the fourth for Barton Perreira, which operates other brand-focused stores in Aspen, Nashville and Kansas City as well as supporting a group of select retail and ECP partners around the world.

CEO Bill Barton worked closely with architect David Spinelli, who designed all three Barton Perreira boutiques for the new New York space. For each Barton Perreira store, Spinelli incorporates design elements that reflect the spirit of each city.

The New York City store features chairs designed by Vladimir Kagan, the furniture designer, and the Barton Perreira frames are placed on “floating” shelves and platforms and given a showcase on a curved wall as well. Leather floor tiles and deep blue color accents frame the space.

In addition to Barton Perreira, the store also highlights Allied Metal Works, the new technical luxury line.

Barton, designer Patty Perreira, Tim Cadiente and others on the team were on hand to greet guests at the opening. The company’s website (www.bartonperreira.com) has posted a video showcasing the store’s presentation and opening night festivities.
