ORLANDO, Fla.—More than 400 ECPs in attendance at Bausch + Lomb’s B + Lieve Innovation Summit held here from March 4 to 5 were introduced to the advanced design and science behind Bausch + Lomb Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses.

ECPs at the event learned about the 3-Zone Progressive design from B+L scientists, and heard from fellow ECPs who have incorporated B+L’s MoistureSeal technology and 3-Zone Progressive design into their practices. They also had the opportunity to participate in training sessions to learn how to fit B+L Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses.

Additionally, the event which offered attendees the opportunity to experience and learn about the latest innovations in contact lens technology featured keynote speakers: Paul Karpecki, OD, FAAO, an eyecare professional from Koffler Vision Group in Lexington, KY; Mile Brujic, OD, an eyecare professional from Premier Vision Group in Bowling Green, Ohio and Mark Wright, OD, an eyecare professional from the Solution Center in Westerville, Ohio.

“Continued innovation is one of the pillars of our business and as our new technologies evolve and expand they will continue to fuel what we offer patients today and into the future,” said Mark McKenna, senior vice president and general manager, U.S. Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb.

“The feedback and insight that we’ve received from ECPs during our past B+Lieve events is invaluable and allows us to continue to develop and improve upon our latest innovations. We were thrilled to share the science behind the creation of Bausch + Lomb Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses at the B+Lieve Innovation Summit, so that ECPs can continue to offer the latest in lens technology to their presbyopic patients.”

Bausch + Lomb Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses, a monthly replacement silicone hydrogel lens, combines the company’s MoistureSeal technology. This allows exceptional end-of-day comfort, with the 3-Zone Progressive design found in Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia daily disposable contact lenses.

The 3-Zone Progressive design in the new Bausch + Lomb Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses also allows ECPs to achieve an easy, predictable fit across all powers and from patient to patient through consistent power profile across the range of powers. The combination of the consistency, the simplified fitting guide, and the ability to fit the presbyopic patient population with just two add powers allows ECPs to streamline the fitting process.

The Bausch + Lomb Ultra for Presbyopia contact lenses begins distribution this month.
