MILAN—A range of celebrities and fashion executives helped Luxottica and Valentino salute “Valentino Mirage,” the debut of the new Valentino eyewear collection for a special event held here during Milan Fashion Week. This is the first eyewear collection launched since Valentino signed a license agreement with Luxottica in 2016.

Since Valentino’s foundation in Rome in 1960, the fashion house has represented Made in Italy excellence with timeless creations from the workshops of Palazzo Mignanelli. Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentino, is in charge of innovation at the fashion house.

The celebration was held at Palazzo Clerici in Milan where each guest actively participated in an immersive “Change of Perspective” experience and was attended by notables including Piccioli, Alberta Ferretti, Scott Schuman, Eleonora Carisi, and others. The “Valentino Mirage” was created in collaboration with Real Live LLC who are also the producers of the renowned Sleep No More show and creators of New York’s McKittrick Hotel.

Paying homage to the beauty and individuality of the contemporary woman, the Valentino SS17 eyewear collection rediscovers the main characteristics of Valentino fashion—a contemporary aesthetic vision. The aesthetic includes a mix of sensual and punk metal designs with glam crystals and nylon.

Each model’s temples are signed with the iconic stud symbol of the fashion house. The eyewear collection is currently available in all Valentino boutiques and specialized retailers.
