NEW YORK—On July 13, Oakley took several accounts out to Yankee Stadium to enjoy the Yankees vs. the Los Angeles Angels game for an Account Appreciation Day.

Approximately 130 people attended the event, including key accounts, some of the Oakley North American team and select press. As the official eyewear of Major League Baseball, Oakley organized the day to help “immerse accounts into the Oakley culture,” according to the company.

The Oakley O Lab made an appearance, as did several retired Yankees players, including Dwight “Doc” Gooden, Cecil “Big Daddy” Fielder, Gary Sheffield and David “Boomer” Wells, who mingled with guests in the massive suite Oakley occupied for the occasion.

Though loyalties were split with many of the California-based Oakley team routing for the Angels, the home team prevailed 6-5 in the bottom of the eighth with a game-tying three-run home run by Mark Teixeria, followed by a single from Russell Martin that brought in the winning run.
