WASHINGTON, D.C.—Pop star Andy Grammer was the featured performer at the Saturday night “A Celebration of Optometry” event at AOA’s Optometry’s Meeting. The performance was attended by more than 1,000 people, primarily independent practice optometrists, according to Hoya Vision Care, which sponsored Grammer’s performance.

Additionally, the President’s Celebration, which recognized new AOA president Chris Quinn, OD, and the board of directors, was held in conjunction with the “A Celebration of Optometry” event. Grammer performed many of his top songs, including, “Keep Your Head Up,” “Fine By Me,” and his latest hit “Fresh Eyes” during a nearly two-hour show.

Barney Dougher, president of Hoya Vision Care, North America, said the company was “happy for the opportunity to support the AOA with a huge talent at such a fun event.”
