SCENE + HEARD Silhouette Hosts Open House in New NYC Gallery By Staff Monday, January 18, 2016 12:00 AM NEW YORK—On Dec. 8, 2015, Silhouette International held their first open house at the Silhouette Gallery, the company’s new showroom, here. “We are thrilled to open our new Gallery, bringing the emotion and experience of the Austria headquarters here to New York,” said Jan Cory U.S. president of Silhouette. “We look forward to welcoming our friends into our House of Silhouette to get to know the collections and enjoy this beautiful space.” Located on the 12th floor of a landmark building at 130 West 42nd Street and designed by tvsdesign architect Steve Clem, the custom space will function as an important U.S. outpost and meeting place by hosting exclusive previews of new collections and concepts, key account appointments and special events, as well as showcasing the company’s portfolio of brands. Feature walls highlight specialty products, including limited editions, signature collections and designer collaborations, alongside sunglasses. A new Silhouette brand Shop-in-Shop also allows for frame fittings, while a library/lounge lets guests browse vintage company journals about the evolution of Silhouette.
