WASHINGTON, D.C.—Luxottica Wholesale, working with volunteers from across all of the company’s divisions and AOA, organized a sunglass sale and fund-raiser for OneSight, an independent nonprofit committed to eradicating the global vision care crisis.

With 26 company volunteers working the display tables, Luxottica raised $157,000 through the sale of more than 2,600 sunglasses, according to Alessandro Baronti, vice president industry relations & education, North America, Luxottica Wholesale. He noted that 100 percent of the proceeds from this event was earmarked for helping underprivileged people in need of eyecare and sight restoration (75 percent of the funds will support OneSight and 25 percent will go to the AOA foundation).
