RAMSEY, Minn.—Vision Ease hosted more than 150 industry professionals at its sixth annual VELA Forum from Oct. 18 to 22 at Secrets Capri Riviera Maya, Cancun, Mexico. Those attending the event came from 50 companies in 15 countries across North and Latin America for business education and training.
To attend the 2015 VELA Forum, customers worked with their Vision Ease sales representative to set and meet business growth goals. These customers represented retailers and wholesale labs from the U.S. and Latin America.
The participants attended various presentations led by James Ledbetter, Editor of Inc. Magazine who presented industry disruptors. Also speaking was Marc Ferrara, president of Jobson Medical Information, who discussed optical industry trends, and Richard Sanchez, managing partner, Visibility Management, who presented trends in managed care. On the last day of the event, the group split between Latin American and U.S. participants to focus on new products and specific regional market needs.
Sessions were delivered in both Spanish and English. When not in sessions, attendees spent time networking with industry leaders from all over the Americas. The group also had an opportunity to relax and have fun in Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
“The Vision Ease VELA Forum was a successful opportunity for Vision Ease to learn from the optical leaders from all over the Americas so that we can help grow their business by offering effective solutions tailored to their specific needs,” said Bill Krueger, executive VP, sales and marketing, Vision Ease.
