SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Doctors and senior staff members from top practices in VSP Global’s Premier Program met here in early October to learn about the future of technology and innovation within the industry. The meeting, dubbed Shift 15, gave the 260 attendees an opportunity to interact and connect with industry thought leaders, as well as an understanding of how to embrace new technologies and innovations impacting the industry and the future of the Premier Program. The program featured guest speakers, industry education, networking opportunities and an exclusive product showcase.

Journalist and innovation expert Shane Snow gave a keynote address about the importance of lateral thinking within an organization, the concept that the best solutions often come from approaching a problem sideways, rather than head-on. Generational expert Sharalyn Orr offered insight about the value of adapting to the Millennial mindset. Jay Sales, co-lead of The Shop for VSP Global, spoke about disruptions our industry is facing and projects The Shop is working on to address these opportunities.

VSP Global said it will build off the momentum from Shift, connecting with guests regularly and working together to build a stronger doctor community.
