LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.—Registration is now open for the Opticians Association of America (OAA) 2022 Leadership Conference scheduled for Feb. 10-12, 2022 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort Area. Building on the theme, Dream Into Action, OAA State Leadership Conference will bring together the collective talents and expertise from opticianry leaders and partners as they gather from across the country for practical learning, timely updates and networking opportunities. For three days, attendees will learn about the latest innovations in the industry as they engage in 32 breakout sessions centered on leadership in the following areas: personal growth, leadership in the workplace, guild for the independent optician, state leadership and national impact.

The Opticians Association of America's Annual Delegate Assembly Meeting will take place on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort Area in Orlando, Florida, in conjunction with 2022 OAA State Leadership Conference. The Delegate Assembly Meeting represents OAA's annual business meeting. The delegates are comprised of guild members, firm members, honored fellows, and appointed representatives for OAA's state society members. The delegates are tasked with electing OAA's board of directors and officers as well as approving any bylaw changes.
 
The organization is also accepting nominations for the 2022-2023 OAA board of directors. The OAA board of directors will be elected during the Delegate Assembly at OAA State Leadership Conference on Feb. 10, 2022. Click here for the nomination form.
 
The OAA is also accepting nominations for its 2022 State Leader of the Year. Presented annually at the Opticians Association of America's State Leadership Conference, the award represents the highest honor the association can bestow upon an individual. In an effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for all attendees at the 2022 OAA State Leadership Conference, the Opticians Association of America is requesting that proof of a negative Covid test (72 hours prior to event opening) or proof of full vaccination be provided at conference check-in in order to gain access to the conference. For those who do not present proof of vaccination or negative testing at check-in, rapid testing will be available onsite for approximately $50. A negative result is required to attend.
 
Event safety policies in compliance with CDC Guidelines, Walt Disney World Official Hotels, and applicable regulations will be in place.
