Norwalk, Conn.—International Vision Expo West has developed a New Attendee Program, complete with a step-by-step survival guide, to help eyecare professionals get to the show and navigate their way onsite. With nearly 14,000 eyecare professionals expected to be at the Las Vegas show this year (Education: Oct. 2-5; Exhibition: Oct. 3-5), the program is intended to help new attendees get the most out of their show experience.

“The New Attendee Program is a fantastic way for our first-time attendees to become acquainted with the industry’s biggest show—International Vision Expo & Conference,” said Courtney Muller, group vice president for Reed Exhibitions. “Navigating 5,000 brands from more than 475 exhibitors in seven specialty Pavilions can be overwhelming—even as an industry veteran. Our free planning tools are designed to ease the preparation process so attendees can have a more rewarding experience. Our goal is to have our guests spend less time asking for directions and more time buying, sourcing, learning and networking.”

Attendees can stop by one of the My Show Planner kiosks located in the main registration area to access your My Show Planner account and agenda, search exhibitors and brands, and view the floor plan. “Ask Me” representatives can also be found roaming the show with brightly colored “Ask Me” shirts and signs to answer any questions which may arise.

Through the integration of My Show Planner and Vision Expo Mobile, attendees can conduct product and exhibitor searches, contact exhibitors for appointments, create agendas and maps of the floor plan (SmartRoute map feature) to ease navigation at the show—right from their mobile devices.
