STYLE Modo Celebrates Innovators and Design Through Its New Project Modo Faces By Jamie Wilson Monday, July 18, 2016 12:01 AM NEW YORK—Modo has launched a new project which celebrates the artists and culture around the field of design. The Modo Faces project kicked off in conjunction with the La Biennale di Venezia’s Architecture Exhibition and aims to capture unique, interesting faces as well as up and coming artists and innovators. Francesca Lanaro, the event’s official social media photographer, shot the photos for the Modo Faces project. The faces of the project come from a variety of creative fields. Some of the subjects included are jewelry designer and CEO of Astolfo Venezia, Veronica Astolfo; architect and glass designer, Nicholas Lauzeral; music producer, Carla Sabrina Marenco; and graphic designer, Jim Sunderland. “Our idea with the Modo Faces project is to capture Modo’s connection to art, architecture and original design that merges form and function, rather than short-lived fashion trends,” Modo said in a release. The 15th annual architecture exhibition, “Reporting from the Front,” is open now and runs until Nov. 27, 2016, featuring 88 participants from 37 countries.
