PARIS—Iconic fashion maven, Iris Apfel and Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, the high-end Parisian department store, have teamed up to create The Iris Collection featuring eyewear designed by Selima Salaun, creative director of Selima Optique.

As a part of Iris Apfel x Le Bon Marché, under the guidance of Iris, a collection was created using inspiration from her favorite handbag, scarf, necklace and her trademark eyewear.

Keeping true to Iris’ signature look, Selima maintained the large frame shape loved by Iris but went with an octagonal shape instead of a typical round, adding structure to the look. The Iris Apfel x Le Bon Marché by Selima Optique sunglasses comes in black or red acetate and will be exclusively sold at Le Bon Marché in Paris and at Selima Optique in New York beginning March 2, 2016. By mid-April, the limited edition collection will be available to other wholesalers.

The Iris Collection was just one part of the collaboration with Le Bon Marché. At the start of Paris Fashion Week, Le Bon Marché invited Iris to imagine a perfect day in Paris and had her reveal pieces selected from her collection of garments and jewelry. She built 10 outfits from her personal wardrobe to fit 10 places in Paris that inspire her that were then displayed in an exhibition.
