Maggie Helms, ABOC, CPO, Practice Manager

Maggie has been in the optical industry for four years. After making the transition from teacher to working at a local independent eyewear boutique she fell in love with the optical industry, working first as a paraoptometric and then as an optician. Last year, Maggie received an Associate’s degree in opticianry from Durham Tech and is getting ready to take her licensure exam. “I love challenging my clients’ personal style and helping them step out of their normal habits when it comes to eyewear.”

She owns over 20 pairs of eyeglasses and keeps about 8 pairs in her current rotation. Not including vintage sunglasses, she has between 10 and 15 pairs of sunglasses in her current rotation.

FRAMES / Eyefunc, style 9085 in color 17 frame

LENSES / Polycarbonate, Eyezen +1 lenses with Crizal Sapphire 360 UV AR treatment.

“I love how lightweight and delicate this single bridge aviator frame is. I never thought I could wear a round frame until I put this one on my face. The tiniest hints of tortoise on the frame front give it the right amount of contrast for my skin tone.”

Stacia Hamilton

Frame Stylist

After “stumbling” into the optical industry, Stacia has been working in eyewear for less than a year but is loving it so far.

She owns 11 pairs of glasses and two pairs of sunglasses.

FRAMES / “Etta” from Moscot in black and crystal

LENSES / Crizal Avance

“I love these glasses for their bold vintage aesthetic, and all the cool little details.”
