It earned $251 million in just ten days of its opening; an amazing feet for a non-sequel. In the film (adapted from the best-selling book), Peeta is a baker’s son and is chosen as a ‘tribute’ to compete against an ensemble cast of other young actors in the movie to entertain a bloodthirsty public. Thanks to a bond with fellow contestant Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, the two buck the trend and both survive to appear again in the sequel, Catching Fire, which will hit theaters in November 2013. Ashley Greene plays vampire Alice Cullen in the ridiculously popular Twilight Saga. She has played the role in all four of the releases films and will reprise it one last time for the final installment, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 out in theaters Nov. 16. The film series has made each of the actors in the ensemble cast stars… and paparazzi fodder. Alyson Hannigan has made her entire career off of being in wildly popular ensemble casts. First as Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then as Michelle, the band geek, in the American Pie movie franchise, and now as Lily Aldrin on television’s How I Met Your Mother. The American Pie team is back one last time in fourth movie in the series, American Reunion, out this weekend. All of the principles from the original cast are back to reprise their roles and celebrate their 13th high school reunion, presumably hijinks ensue.
