STYLE: Frame Collections Marcolin Launches the Moncler Lunettes Collection By Staff Monday, November 14, 2016 12:00 AM LONGARONE, Italy—Marcolin S.p.A is launching the Moncler Lunettes Collection. The complete collection will become available to the optical channel in January 2017. The Moncler Lunettes eyewear collection is characterized by tradition, contemporary design and technology and draws inspiration from the iconic Moncler down jacket which has transcended trends and cultures since its inception in 1952, the company said. Giovanni Zoppas, Marcolin Group CEO said, “Marcolin is a worldwide leading company in the eyewear industry and Moncler is synonymous with duvet par excellence. Two successful histories that in common have high-attention to detail as well as to the brand’s uniqueness and quality codes and values. “This partnership enables us to target those consumers who are looking for a distinctive, valuable and Made in Italy product through an accurate and extremely selected distribution in order to emphasize the exclusivity that is the core of the collection. With Moncler, Marcolin has strengthened its positioning in the luxury segment.” The new sunglass collection elevates the brand value of excellence. Inspired by the classic 70s ski goggle shapes, the acetate ML0001 and the more feminine ML0002 stand out with an embossed metal logo on the frame front with little details on the temples that showcase the “boudin” manufacturing effect distinctive of the Moncler jacket. The acetate men’s ML0003 and unisex ML0004 frames highlight a more retro look with removable leather side shields while aerodynamic temples have a look of high altitude googles. The dynamic collection is refined with the quintessentially feminine round shape on the ML0005 and the squared silhouette of the unisex ML0006. The soft exaggerated shape of the two acetate styles recalls the light and voluminous shape created by the down jacket, which is ultimately the soul of the Moncler brand. Dispenser Price Guide: $$$$$
