Barton Perreira

Launched in 2007, the Barton Perreira eyewear collection is created by Bill Barton and Patty Perreira. Dedicated to pure luxury, Barton Perreira’s approach to fashion redefines style and elegance thanks to Patty Perreira’s language of inspired design and focus on the evolution process. Handmade using the finest materials from Japan, Barton Perreira frames are not mass-produced but made by skilled artisans in limited quantities, making each piece as exclusive and unique as the wearer. The lenses are the finest CR-39 optical-grade plastic or mineral glass available.

MSRP is $350 to $665.

“They do a wonderful job of marrying shape and color to give our customers something that looks great, stands out but is still safe and very wearable.”

What are you selling? When we opened the shop five years ago, we wanted to build its success on the back of several key, very versatile, collections. Barton Perreira was one. The Blake and Cassady have been a couple of the strongest sellers for us.

Who’s buying it? Due to the depth and strength of the collection, we do very well across the board and are split about 50/50 between men and women. It speaks to someone who is willing to pay more for a product that will hold up over time and will still look great 2 to 3 years later. It is a confident consumer who knows what they like and doesn’t need big brand names and logo plaques to justify a purchase or feel fashionable.

Why do they like it? We typically we let customers browse and get a feel for the shop before we engage them or present anything and more times than not, they find the brand before we have a chance to make the introduction. For us, Barton Perreira attracts the middle aged professional who has an appreciation for quality, craft and classic styling.
