The creator of Zig Eyewear is Cendrine O., a truly passionate artist with over 20 years of experience in the eyewear industry. Cendrine O. finds her inspiration from just about anything—a beautiful painting, a tapestry, an autumn leaf, a building façade—and transforms her ideas into wearable artwork. Cendrine O. designs two collections—the artistic Ziggy by Cendrine O. line and the sophisticated Jean Reno by Cendrine O. line, inspired by the French actor.

What are you selling?
I brought in Zig Eyewear seven years ago in my small rural office and it set itself apart from other lines because of its nice colors and intricate and whimsical details. I opened a boutique optical two and a half years ago to specialize in unique eyewear to set my office apart from everybody in the region. We carry over 1,100 frames, most of which are very different than what most opticals carry in our area, but even with so many unique brands, Ziggy by Cendrine O. shines above the rest.

Who’s buying it?
The woman who says “my eyewear should enhance my personality not hide it.” We like to say at Vision Trends “Dare to wear.” I love hearing my customers come in saying how they can’t go anywhere without people stopping them to give them a compliment and asking “Where did you get those frames?”

Why do they like it?
The Ziggy line is not afraid to chart its own course and not follow the herd mentality of what everybody else is doing. Cendrine creates beautiful works of frame art that draw people to her collection when they walk through our doors.
