SUN VALLEY, Calif.—To celebrate the iconic partnership that Chopard has forged with the Cannes Film Festival, De Rigo has created a special edition women’s sunglass that exudes the old Hollywood glamour of the 1950s.

The SCHD39S in 300G showcases glamour and seduction with its cat eye silhouette that draws from the allure of the iconic starlets of the past, fitting right in with the atmosphere of the Promenade de la Croisette, the home of the iconic film festival. This model features 24K gold-plated mirror lenses and jeweled metal temples micro-cast in a palm lead shape adorned with zircon crystal detailing. The lavish sunglass is housed in a luxurious hat box in gold satin and comes with a clutch case which is also in gold satin.

Another reference to the Cannes Festival, where Chopard has been an official sponsor since 1998, can be seen on the frame’s impressive temple. This model’s temple is shaped like a palm leaf to echo the legendary Palme d’Or Award that is crafted every year in its fine jewelry workshop.

The Chopard SCHD39S in 300G will wholesale for $1,025 and will be available at select Chopard retail locations, high end boutiques and optical shops starting in May.
