MELVILLE, N.Y.—Marchon Eyewear has launched a new line of sunglasses for the Italian luxury design house, Marni. The collection including four sunglasses is designed for a discerning audience of curious and sophisticated women looking to make a statement of individual style and creativity.

Since 1994, Consuelo Castiglioni, founder and creative director of Marni has integrated her personal sense of elegance and experimental approach to materials and colors with her unique flair for mixing prints and shapes into collections that are irreverent and emotional, the company said.

In line with the Marni aesthetic, the new sun collection, entirely designed and made in Italy, features geometric shapes, metal elements, cutaway acetate layering and saturated colors.

Boasting a hip pentagonal shape, the acetate frame front of style ME603S progressively tapers down from the prominent, rounded corners until it almost vanishes, creating an unfinished effect that complements the thickness of the temples. Likewise, the round lenses of style ME602S contrast with the linear, pronounced browlines in acetate that extend along the temples. Metal bridges and rims further accent these saturated shades of acetate.

The collection will retail in Marni stores as well as in select optical retail locations and fashion multi-brand channels worldwide.
