Lenses combine premium photochromic performance withsuper hydrophobic clarity and cleanability.
TORRANCE, Calif.—Bifocal wearers who want a photochromic lens that offers the benefits of a polycarbonate lens now have a new option: Transitions Signature VII polycarbonate composite flat top 28 lenses. A composite lens developed by Transitions Optical and Younger Optics, Transitions Signature VII is available through Younger’s lab partners.

“Our dedicated research and development teams were able to develop a polycarbonate composite lens that incorporates a unique photochromic front surface made of Trivex, delivering Transitions Signature VII performance in a product that is surfaced, polished, edged and dispensed just like a clear polycarbonate lens,” said David Rips, Younger Optics president and CEO.

“There is still a significant demand in the market for segmented lenses, despite growing demand for progressive and digital designs,” observed Catherine Rauscher, Transitions Optical’s global director for lenscaster partners. “Now eyecare professionals don’t have to find another option when consumers request a Transitions brand lens. They can dispense authentic Transitions Signature lenses in a polycarbonate composite material.”

Transitions Signature polycarbonate composite flat top 28 lenses are now available in gray.
