COSTA MESA, Calif.—A new web-based tool from CareCredit, called the Patient Direct Tool, connects patients and clients directly to the CareCredit application, while in the provider’s office.
The tool, which is free, can be downloaded to any patient accessible tablet or PC in a practitioner’s office with internet or WiFi connection. The tool can be used on an iPad, Android tablet, Windows tablet, Windows PC and Mac.
CareCredit points out that the Patient Direct Tool eliminates the need for the practice to retain signed applications. It can expedite transactions immediately—once patients and clients are approved, they can use their CareCredit card. The company said it can also simplify the practice’s routine and save time, as its designed for patients to use on their own while in the waiting room. The practice doesn’t have to collect financial information or communicate credit decisions.
Bundled purchase plans with service agreements are also available for those practices that need to purchase tablets for their patient waiting areas or consulting rooms.
CareCredit is a leading provider of health care financing and is part of the Synchrony Financial Group.
