NEW YORK—iMedicWare, a leading provider of certified EMR/PM, optical, and ASC software specifically designed for ophthalmologists, has completed an integration with Frames Data. This integration gives iMedicWare users the ability to subscribe to a service called Frames Data IDA (Immediate Data Access), which enables iMedicWare’s subscribers to access frame information instantaneously without loading a disc or downloading a separate file.
"It’s great to have iMedicWare launch this all-new integration,” said Tom Doyle, director of marketing and key accounts at Frames Data. “We’re always happy to work with a software partner that’s automating inventory processes. Automation makes it much easier for eyecare professionals to realize the full benefit of using Frames Data.”
Anish Kapur MD, vice president of sales and marketing at iMedicWare, commented, “We are extremely excited to have partnered with Frames Data on this new venture. We strive to provide our valued subscribers with the best solution possible, and Frames Data helps us do that.
Frames Data’s integration gives us not only increased functionality, but it allows our system to become a completely comprehensive inventory management solution. When paired with our award winning EMR and practice management solution, an ophthalmic practice can run their entire office easily and efficiently. Frames Data’s integration allows any practice to seamlessly manage their inventory, track price changes, and keep up with the latest trends."
The Frames Data integration brings all of the data into iMedicWare’s system via the web, which alleviates users from having to enter any information manually, further improving the productivity of the practice. Doyle explained, “Once the data is in the software’s inventory database, it’s used to get new frames into the inventory with a quick barcode scan, setting retail rates and submitting managed care claims automatically. It also adds frames to a re-order list when inventory reaches a set level.”
