SAN DIEGO—A new mobile app has been developed by Zeiss to help ECPs identify digital eye strain and start a conversation with patients about how to address the condition. The app has been released to support sales of the new Zeiss Digital Lens, a lens designed for Millennials, and is available in two versions: a tablet version for eyecare practices and a smartphone version for consumers.

According to Zeiss, the Digital Eye Strain app:

  • Indicates if a patient is experiencing symptoms of digital eye strain
  • Measures visual performance during repeated changes of focus (from near to distance)
  • Provides a visual assessment
  • Connects consumer users with Zeiss practices in their area

The app is free and available for download on iOS and Android for ECPs at www.zeiss.com/digitallens and consumers from iTunes and Google Play. More information is available at www.zeiss.com/yourdigitallife.
