Are You Ready for the (College) Football Championship?

So, after hundreds of games, countless tailgates, and many, many friendly debates about strength of schedule and the value of conference championships, we’ve reached the point where there are just two teams left standing in the college football season. The two teams—the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide—meet Monday night at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for shortly after 8 p.m. VMAIL Weekend has gone back to its college football panel (VMAIL Weekend, Aug. 26, 2017) to get their views and predictions for the outcome of Monday’s championship game.

Lowercase Teams Up With N.Y.-Based Apparel Company, Knickerbocker on Frame Collab

NEW YORK—Brooklyn-based eyewear company, Lowercase, has partnered with a neighboring company, Knickerbocker Mfg. Co., on a frame collaboration with a charitable component. Through the partnership, which launched on Nov. 30, Lowercase crafted the RPG (Regulation Prescription Glasses) style which is inspired by the standard issue optical frame for new military recruits that dates back to WWII. While there have been variations of the RPG, this rendition takes inspiration from the late 1970s model.

Whether it was a “bomb cyclone,” a blizzard or just a crazy weather event, much of the East Coast was hit with severely cold temperatures and high winds this week as an unusual confluence of weather events smacked the states along the Atlantic Coast and beyond. Those brave enough to venture outdoors were bundled up tightly from head to toe.
