Revolution Bows Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place Line

Revolution Eyewear creates magic with a new children’s line from Disney, Wizards of Waverly Place eyewear collection, based upon the show of the same name which features children that are wizards with supernatural powers.
Wearer: Fans of the show, children aged 6 to 11 and tweens.
Specifics: Twelve optical styles.
Selling Points: More than two-thirds of all kids 6-11 and three-fourths of all tweens watched Wizards of Waverly Place last quarter. The show has won the Emmy for “Outstanding Children’s Program” in 2009 and 2010. The new eyewear collection from Revolution features 12 styles, WWP001-WWP012; lightweight frames made of zyl and metal with spring hinges. Temples are embellished with creative designs depicting the image of the show with additions such as engravings, screenings, metallic epoxy and crystals from the House of Daniel Swarovski. Colors include matte light and dark brown, matte pink, matte burgundy, pearle red and grey, among others. Merchandising materials consist of a 3-piece display, counter cards and a vinyl window poster, all of which reflect the magical enchanted nature of the show, a blend of rustic folk with bohemian elements.

Morgenthal Frederics Presents 25th Anniversary Collection

Luxury eyewear designer Morgenthal Frederics has debuted The Timeless Collection to commemorate their 25th Anniversary.
Specifics: This collection consists of seven styles, made of 100 percent Japanese titanium and acetate, with genuine buffalo horn versions of The Timeless Collection being released in October 2011.
Selling Points: The Timeless Collection was conceptualized to embody multiple references to time and timelessness in the design and names of the frame. Each frame is named Silver in a different language and the temple detailing on each is fashioned after a watch crown. The seven styles are: Plata (Spanish), Zilver (Dutch), Silber (German), Argentum (Latin), Argent (French), Prata (Portuguese) and Argento (Italian). The Plata is a rimless optical frame, while both the Zilver and Silber frames are aviator styles. The Prata is a rimless aviator style. The Argent is an angled, oval acetate frame and the Argentum and Argento frames are rectangular. The Timeless Collection frames are handcrafted in Japan from the finest grade titanium and sheet acetate. The acetate full frames are available in three color combinations: spotty tortoise acetate with gold, mocha acetate with copper and grey marble acetate with gunmetal. The aviators and rimless styles feature a beautiful shiny gold with pearl acetate temples, in addition to rich copper/mocha and gun/charcoal.
