Inspecs has launched the first ever Superdry optical collection from the British retail super brand.
Wearer: Men and women who are fans of the brand or appreciate Japanese graphics and vintage Americana fused with the values of British tailoring.
Specifics: Seven unisex ophthalmic styles, as well as six for women and one for men.
Selling Points: Taking inspiration from classic styles and updating them with modern finishes, the Superdry Optical Collection presents as a timeless collection. From the cat-eye Daisy and semi-rimmed Caine to the retro-inspired Depp, all styles encompass a vintage yet contemporary feel. Bamboo temples, unique front trims and matte zinc finishing typify the collection. Hand embossed markings and keyhole bridges are found throughout. Each top brow comes with authentic, laser cut Superdry branding. Thicker acetate ensures that Superdry Optics are built to last, while 7 Barrel chrome hinges and handmade construction guarantees the frames will be around long enough to be future classics.

ProDesign Extends Iris Collection

ProDesign has extended its Iris collection of frames with new styles for women.
Specifics: Three new styles for women in four colors each.
Selling Points: The new Iris styles 5613, 5614 and 5615, offer striking details such as the feminine drops shape on the temple and the beautiful lines in the material. In keeping with the rest of the Iris collection, these frames are very feminine, but the classic shapes take them in a more unisex direction, creating a modern and classic look. The acetate material itself has a lot of effects, the inside of the frames reveal a pearl material, mixed from different tones of pearly acetate. The lines on the frames were created by milling down to the second layer done after the frames were cut and assembled.

Götti Switzerland Debuts Winter Styles

Götti Switzerland has introduced its new optical styles for the Fall/Winter season.
Specific: Four acetate styles, one titanium and a special collection of four titanium styles.
Selling Points: The new shapes for the season in hand polished laminated acetate include the Mica, Anna, Marvin and Hene, while in titanium, Götti has added the Lolek, a sporty featuring the brand’s 360° Spin&Stow temples and ion-plated color. Götti has also added The Black Edition featuring four designs, the Elma, Erol, Eric and Emily, in the single color. For all titanium, the color was applied using the innovative "physical vapor deposition" (PVD) process which provides a very high level of color fastness and adhesion. Additionally, all the details are black as well, including ear pieces, front, pads and even the screws; only the hinge has been left silver to provide contrast.
