Alain Mikli International has announced the launch of the first ever Jean Paul Gaultier by Mikli eyewear collection. The collection was a creation between the two longtime designer friends.  
Wearer: Avant-guard eyewear aficionados, fans of the designers. 
Specifics:
 The collection includes 20 styles, 12 sunglasses (six plastic and one metal) and eight eyeglasses (three plastic, five metal and three metal/plastic combination frames). Selling Gaultier and Mikli constantly surprise, inventing and reinventing, hand-in-hand in close collaboration delivering the promise of beauty and wonder somewhere between inventiveness, modernity and liberty. The eyewear collection includes a broad range of shapes including rectangular, cat’s eye, oval and a shield, as well as four semi-rimless styles in the optical collection. Colors are varying shades of black, brown/tortoise and ivory and no outer logo is visible. Marketing for the collection includes a small selection of visual merchandising materials all of which reveal the world of Jean Paul Gaultier. The Jean Paul Gaultier by Mikli eyewear collection will hit Alain Mikli boutiques, as well as to independent luxury optical retailers, in January 2012.

The 5042 features refined end pieces and soft matte colors in a frame with a deep lens shape and sharp edges, while the distinct shape and muted hues of the 3100 mesh together to exude power and. Italian eyewear brand Super teamed up with French brand Cool Cats, run by Pedro Winter, founder of Ed Banger Records and manager of Daft Punk, to present a hand-customized special edition model with Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlenses. Allison Debuts Newest La Martina Style

The CompeticiĆ³n (style LM500) of La Martina by Allison launched this month at the polo championship “El Abierto de Palermo” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The frame is made of nylon TR90 with NXT Soft lenses by Intercast Italy. The frame has adjustable rubber tips and nose pads for a perfect fit even under the polo helmet.
