Ogi’s Seraphin Releases Winter Collection

REM Unveils Converse Sun Collections

Modo’s 3.1 Phillip Lim Presents F/W 2012

Selling Points: Keeping functionality at the heart of his work, the Fall 2012 Phillip Lim designs include enamel lined edging, unique semi-rim constructions and optional sun clip additions. Frames are available in colors such as crystal vapor, crystal black, mahogany, navy, green tortoise, black, antique white, dark gun and putty. In optical, offerings include the Trace, a unisex acetate aviator with an oversized look; the Chopper, a unisex acetate frame with an upside down semi-rimless design; the See See, a women’s combination frame with an arched, acetate brow and thick temple with fine metal rims; the Mister, a retro-inspired frame for men in a modified deep square; the Ashe, a unisex frame that is an update to the popular 50s-esque browline in titanium, and lastly, Guy, a classic look for men and women in acetate. For sun, the unisex Shayde with sun clip option; the Ace, an updated aviator; the Chopper Soleil, a unisex sun version of the new optical style; the Orbit, a feminine frame with a modified round lens; and the GoGo, a universally flattering, oversized aviator combination frame, are all new.

Liberty Sport Adds Graphic Designs to Snow Series

Liberty Sport has added graphic designs to their Rx performance snow sunglass styles. “We’ve had such a strong response to our graphic designs on our protective sports eyewear, we thought it would be fun to recreate these same some of exciting designs on our Rx Sun Performance product,” said Carmine DiChiara, vice president of product development. The new designs are a nice complement to the brand’s other Rx Snow styles. The plano sun version comes with the Ultimate Snow Lens designed for perceiving changes in terrain with a lens base color of grey/green with a blue flash mirror coating. All Ultimate Plano Sun Lenses can be replicated in an Rx through Liberty Sport Labs.

ZEAL Optics Release New GPS Goggle Model

ZEAL Optics has introduced a new more affordable GPS goggle option for high tech consumers. “We have been doing this longer than anyone and our advancements have allowed us to really expand our offerings to bring technology to more consumers. A more affordable option has always been the goal and today we are excited to announce that it is here and almost $200 less than comparable products,” said John Sanchez, president of ZEAL. ZEAL now offers three GPS models; the newest Z3 GPS tracks speed, altitude, jump stats, GPS, temperature and more from an integrated 16:9 widescreen display. The Z3 MOD Live offers smartphone capabilities that allow buddy tracking, detailed mountain trail maps, text messaging and other Bluetooth options.

AYA by Claudia Alan Debuts New Optical Styles

Canadian eyewear company, Claudia Alan Inc., has expanded its AYA Optical Collection with the introduction of five new vintage style frames. The new line includes two limited editions, Sitka and Langham, featuring natural buffalo horn and bamboo materials and sophisticated retro styling. The entire AYA Optical Collection is unisex and features the latest artwork by renowned First Nations artist, Corrine Hunt. Sitka is a handcrafted frame featuring a keyhole bridge, and rounded silhouette, while the Langham style combines buffalo horn, bamboo and raven artwork.
In addition to the two limited edition styles, AYA has added three other retro-inspired frames this season; the Bailey, Alix and Ainsley, all made of zyl in wearable neutral colors such as brown, black and red.
