Selling Points: The collection features the latest in design techniques like the use of custom colors through a multi-layered transparent silkscreen and acetate generation process. Swarovski crystals and European components combined with metal casted, beveled and sculpted temples and accents help translate the idea of fabric in motion. Standouts of the ophthalmic collection include the Vivianna, a semi-rimless Italian acetate frame with a sculpted eye rim for an oversized dramatic cat-eye shape, and the Melodie, an acetate frame front in a modified rectangle with a curved endpiece paired with an acetate temple featuring an embossed metal design laminating down its length. Charmant Debuts Trussardi S/S 2013 Women’s Sun Styles

Charmant has added new women’s sunwear styles to their Trussardi Eyewear collection for Spring/Summer. Attention to brow lines is omnipresent for the brand this season with unparalleled design articulated in the expressively wrought brow line of several of the new Trussardi styles. The TR12838 offers a charmingly accented brow line by way of a smooth enamel accent in its ladylike titanium frame; while the TR12840 is an iconic acetate frame detailed by a clever metal mount that runs from the temple right through the brow line. The TR12844 has a unique temple paired with a geometric shape, luxurious metal hinge with leather inner and sumptuously depicted colors like raspberry brown blends; Havana meets pink, classic black and toffee.

Mykita Unveils Colors and Rounds in Decades Collection

Spring/Summer 2013 sees a continuation of the color and design concept behind the Mykita Decade line. The collection, released each year in sync with the Paris fashion shows, welcomes new tones for the season. The colors for sunglass models Marlene and Scarlett represent a break from the classic with coral red, pastel grey and opal, international blue, jet black and safrane. “Round” is also a definitive element for both the prescription spectacles and the sunglasses line of Decades. The Marlene is a supersized variation on the classic panto form, while the primary design element for the Scarlett is the geometric circle. Both feature gold-coated hinges and a semi-matte finish. For prescription, the “round” theme appears again in the new models Coco and Bibi. The latter combines bold dimensions with circular lenses, with the prominent bridge providing the contrast to the frame; while in the Coco the bridge is the main stylistic element as well. Both models are hand-painted and available in gold/coral red, gold/opal and silver/black.
