Aspex Launches ModifEye Adjustable Readers Line

Specifics: ModifEye offers a unique and patented breakthrough in fluid-based lens technology giving wearers the ability to independently adjust their degree of visual correction to their own optical needs, ranging from +1.25 to +2.75 diopters. ModifEye reading glasses revolutionizes the way the wearer reads with its simple turn of a small dial at each temple, the company said. The collection’s trendy plastic frames and stylish color options include demi-amber, burgundy and black.
Selling Points: In 1985, a University of Oxford physicist, Joshua Silver, began clinical trials to see if the public would benefit from spectacle lenses which allow the wearer to adjust the focus of the frames according to their visual preference. Aspex Eyewear has recently revamped Silver's original round frames with a more modern and fashionable twist and introduced ModifEye. The sole distributor and owner of the patent for this technology, Aspex’s ModifEye frames are not only stylish in appearance but also incorporate variable focus lenses, giving the wearer perfectly clear vision for different distances.

The Silhouette Sun Collection for 2014 includes eight models in three or more colors each that provide the perfect protection from the sun, while complimenting the wearer’s style. The new Allure Sun style is a rimless interpretation inspired by the styles of the 70s with low set temples, a top bar with a dynamic accent and matte print temples. The Explorer integrates the top bar into the lenses, some of which are offered fully mirrored. McGee Adds New Argyleculture Styles
The newest collection from the McGee Group’s Argyleculture Eyewear collection offers a streamlined look with a focus on combining the most fashion-forward colors, materials and shapes. The Smokey, Campbell and Martin combine modern, masculine eyeshapes with the latest design techniques for bold frames to fit the lifestyle of the Urban Graduate. The Smokey features a brushed metal front in a rectangular eyeshape with a bevel detail on the endpiece. The Campbell is a full rim horn acetate frame in a bold round acetate eyeshape with milled details on the top and bottom of the frame front to show the crystal layer on both colors.
