Quick Take: Bolle Sport Protective, a new line from Bushnell Eyewear, is introducing the first full line of athletic eyewear for younger athletes to be certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

Specifics: There are five styles in the initial collection; Coverage, Crunch, Swag, Dominance and Baller. All models will be available with plano or Rx lenses. ECPs can sourcing their own Rx lenses or order directly from Bolle, through the company’s e-commerce site, Bolle.com/rx. Only orders fulfilled by the company’s dedicated laboratory will include official safety markings indicating proof of compliance with the applicable standards.
Selling Points: The Bolle Sport Protective collection includes a platinum coating for scratch resistance along with anti-fog technology, a SAS Shock Absorption System for impact resistance and absorption, and also a new grade of polycarbonate to deliver flexibility for comfort and a high level of impact resistance. Bolle named basketball player and MVP, Tony Parker, the official spokesperson for the Sport Protective brand. “I’m proud to support the Bolle Sport Protective program because young people who wear prescription eyewear need the best possible eye protection in order to focus on the game completely and enjoy it,” said Parker.

The MMJ 435/S is a key sun style of the season and features a refined metal grid front matching the acetate colored temples paired with mirrored lenses in a color palette inspired by the F/W fashion show; matte red, matte black, mud and smart gold. The MMJ 436/S, a men’s sunglass in slim metal, is highlighted by a metal grid on the front and matching acetate colored temples in a rectangular shape offered in dark colors such as ruthenium with grey, shiny black with matte black and ruthenium with black, paired with flash lenses. The MMJ 613 is a unisex square-shaped metal optical frame contemporary and sophisticated in design that features a metal grid on the front and acetate temples in matching subtle colors, such as red with opal burgundy, matte black with shiny black, ruthenium with black. Lastly, the MMJ 610 features vintage styling that served as the inspiration for this unisex acetate optical frame offering refined details with a retro feel such as the unique cut on the profiles and the metal rivets on the front and the key-hole bridge.
