McGee Launches New Ducks Unlimited Collection

Quick Take: McGee Group has launched the Ducks Unlimited Eyewear collection for men.
Wearer: A multi-generational collection for men who enjoy the outdoors lifestyle and who are interested in community resources and wildlife preservation.
Specifics: The launch collection includes 12 styles in 25 skus and offers stylish, comfortable and durable optical and sport frames to suit any outdoor enthusiast. Designs include thin wire rims for the older consumer seeking lightness and acetate with wood grain effects for the modern consumer. Also part of the collection are metals with geometric patterns, rich horn colorations and progressive friendly styles. Materials highlights include stainless steel with carbon or acetate temples.
Selling Points: “The McGee Group shares Ducks Unlimited’s commitment to conservation, so a portion of the proceeds from the sales of Ducks Unlimited products will benefit conservation and increase awareness,” said Wayne McGee, CEO of the McGee Group. The McGee Group also announced the signing Jeff Foxworthy as the celebrity spokesperson for the eyewear collection. He will be a part of the merchandising and promotions initiatives tied to the launch of the collection this fall. A committed member of Ducks Unlimited, Jeff Foxworthy shares the organization’s passion for conservation. “I am a passionate supporter of conservation, which is why I am so excited to be working alongside Ducks Unlimited and The McGee Group,” added Foxworthy. “I am able to protect my eyes and wildlife, while wearing my favorite frames.”

Marchon Presents New Skaga Collection

Quick Take: Marchon has showcased their newest, sleek Scandinavian-inspired collection from Skaga.
Specifics: Skaga’s “Designed in Scandinavia, Made-in-Italy” optical collection displays the brand’s quality, constructed with titanium frames and includes three new styles in the men’s collection and one new style in the women’s collection.
Selling Points: Made from titanium, the frames display an ultra-lightweight appearance. A rounded frame in brown, petrol and black is available in the Timo style. The Otto style is available in rectangular frames, with the brand’s signature hinge, allowing more movement. It is available in blue, brown and black. Skaga’s contemporary frame, the Daelvi, is available in a two-toned square frame and is detailed with “distinctive architectural elements,” Marchon said. Daelvi is available in brown, silver, gun and blue. The women’s style, Jennifer, is a semi-matte cat eye frame and includes a hinge connecting the temple to the front of the frame to create a minimalist appearance.
