Babiators Launches First Prescription Collection
Quick Take: Babiators has officially launched Babiators Rx, a line of awesome and stylish prescription glasses for children.

Specifics: Babiators Rx line features two frame designs—the Buzz frame sports a modern rectangular design with a cool hipster feel, while the Sally frame’s cat eye silhouette generates a classic, retro vibe. Soft, malleable, lightweight TR-90 material frames with soft silicone molding around the eyes and nose promises a snug, comfortable fit, and each pair of Babiators Rx includes an extra set of temples that have a unique “comfort fit” around the ear to keep the glasses firmly on younger, more active kids.
Selling Points: Babiators’ Lost & Found Guarantee, which states that if a registered Babiator product is lost or broken within one year of purchase, they will replace it for free, also applies to the Rx line (shipping and handling and lens replacement is not included). The company also gives a portion of their profits to The Children's Eye Foundation and other organizations that help kids in need, the company said.

Safilo Presents New Gucci Fall/Winter Collection
Quick Take: Safilo Group has introduced new, contemporary Gucci sunglasses and optical frames in both the women’s and men’s collections.
Specifics: The newest women’s collection features two sunglasses and two optical models. The men’s collection features a new sunglasses model.
Selling Points: Both models GG4263 and GG3717 for women display a geometric butterfly shape with a diamond pattern fabric on the temples. According to Safilo, the models include a “soft-to-the-touch” rubber material for added temple comfort. Women’s sunglasses model GG3710S also displays a geometric shape, but features an ultra-lightweight plastic material. The model’s transparent temples highlight the style’s metal cores. Women’s optical model GG3719 features a cat eye frame with both metal and acetate on the sides. The men’s collection presented a new sunglasses model, GG1082, displaying a rounded, retro frame with ultra-slim metal temples. The model also includes adjustable nosepads for a better fit.

Marcolin Bows the Montblanc Fall/Winter Line
Quick Take: Marcolin has introduced a modern, refined look for this season’s Montblanc collection.

Silhouette Introduces Newest Titan New Wave
Quick Take: Silhouette’s newest Titan New Wave eyewear features the company’s quality technology and construction.
Specifics: The new model features a lightweight design of 3.24 grams. The titanium frame is highly flexible and displays a characteristic top bar; while the hingeless temple design is available in two lens and four color options.

Zyloware Eyewear has released new styles from the Red Tiger Collection. The Red Tiger AM 503M has a semi-rimless zyl front in a bold rectangular shape with metal temples featuring two striped cutouts and gooseneck nosepads. The Red Tiger AM 506M is a semi-rimless sheet cut metal frame in a rectangular shape featuring gooseneck nosepads and cut-outs embedded in a metal plaque on the zyl temples. The Red Tiger AM 508Z is a full rim zyl frame in a rectangular shape featuring adjustable gooseneck nosepads and wider angle of flair. Costa introduces two new sunglasses, Seapoint and Tern, as part of its late 2014 collection. A classic aviator shape, the Seapoint offers a medium fit with Costa’s patented, nearly indestructible co-injected molded nylon construction, sturdy integral hinges and no-slip Hydrolite nosepads. Named for the slender seabirds, the Tern features a sleek, rectangular frame shape with five-barrel optical hinges and no-slip Hydrolite nosepads.
