ClearVision Launches Aspire Eyewear

More Images
Quick Take: ClearVision Optical has debuted the new Aspire Eyewear collection using the latest innovative technology and materials.
Wearer: “Eyewear is an expression of the wearer, so we created Aspire to connect with progressive, ‘aspirational’ men and women who show their individuality through fashion and unique accessories; to show what they aspire to be,” said Peter Friedfeld, executive vice president of ClearVision.
Specifics: There are 12 optical styles, six for women and six for men that offer some crossover, which feature five architecturally inspired temple designs in stainless steel and TR-90. Three sun styles-- a cat eye, aviator and navigator shape -- are also available. Style names are aspirational adjectives that express consumers’ style, or what they may “aspire to be,” including Special, Stylish and Independent.
Selling Points: Frames are designed using 3D technology prior to prototyping and constructed from a thin and lightweight proprietary “memory plastic” material. According to the company, the frames are almost 50 percent lighter than regular plastic frames and 22 percent lighter than typical titanium frames. At 2.25 mm thick, styles are also almost 50 percent thinner than typical acetate frames. The collection also features a proprietary adjustable nose pad system and screwless hinges. Merchandising materials, including a waiting room video, brand IDs, counter cards and display, accompany the collection.

Marchon Bows Nike Vision’s Latest Athletic Collection

More Images
Quick Take: Marchon Eyewear has introduced new athletic styles from Nike Vision.
Specifics: Nike Vision includes 11 new styles; seven for men, two for women and two for kids.
Selling Points: “Designs from the Spring 2015 collection are inspired by the bold attitude and enduring spirit of the athlete,” the company said. The 11 styles include the Skylon Ace XV, an improved, lighter version of its original Skylon Ace, with wider end pieces that allow for greater coverage. Lenses also include flash mirror coating, adding style to the sport sunglasses. Using Nike Max Optics Lens Technology, the eyewear displays precise visual information at all angles of view. Lenses are also interchangeable, based on lighting conditions. An updated, vented nosepiece is made of rubber, adding grip and preventing fogging. Nike SB, the collection’s first skate and snow category that combines style and performance, has the Recover, a lightweight, injected six-base frame that features Ripel coating on the lenses to ensure that snow, water and debris slide right off. Women’s styles were made to wear during their workout and beyond. The women’s Vital also features Nike Max Optics Lens Technology and has rubber on the bridge and temples that provide a comfortable fit. For Young Athletes, the Spirit and Mercurial are available in striking color combinations and have Carl Zeiss lenses for developing eyes.
