Specifics: Inspired by three signature collection categories, Cole Haan’s commitment to craftsmanship is captured in 20 optical and 13 sun styles for men and women.
Selling Points: With a clean, modern aesthetic, the Classic Collection honors the rich legacy of Cole Haan. Each frame is adorned with elegant, yet simple logotypes and brand marks, such as monograms, diamond plaques and etched logos, to celebrate the brand. The Grand Lifestyle Collection embodies the soul of an adventurer with bold colors and trendsetting shapes that redefine what it means to be a style pioneer, the company said. The collection echoes the use of the brand’s ZerøGrand technology accompanied by bright pops of color and edgy color blocking treatments. Fusing sophistication with luxury, the Heritage Collection incorporates Cole Haan’s iconic basket weave pattern and leather accents. The weave is pressed into acetate temples, whereas genuine leather is wrapped around the temples introducing quality textures into opulent fall colorations.

Essilor Launches New Customizable Sun Lenses

Quick Take: Essilor of America is launching Essilor Colors, a new line of sun lenses.
Wearer: “The prescription sun lens market has historically been slow to match the offerings of the plano market,” said Lauri Crawford, senior vice president of marketing, Essilor of America. “Now, sunglass wearers who are looking for more fashionable and self-expressive options can enjoy the benefits of Essilor Colors without compromising on aesthetics.”
Specifics: Essilor Colors sun lenses are available in six tints, six gradients and three mirrors, for up to 48 custom color combinations.
Selling Points: Lens color choices feature gray mist, sienna brown, forest gray, emerald blue, grape and plum. These colors can be combined with gold, blue and silver mirror effects. All colors are available in 1.5 standard plastic or polycarbonate prescription lenses and in single vision and full back side progressive designs. Essilor Colors utilizes a specialized lab process and machinery to provide wearers with benefits such as longer lasting and consistent color, and will be available as Xperio UV polarized sun lenses, Crizal Sunshield UV tinted lenses, standard polarized and standard tinted lenses.

The Eldridge is a combination metal and acetate frame. Modern and stylish, the feminine metal front of Eldridge has a slight upswept feel that transitions to a fully textured geometric quilted temple with an angled metal design, the company said.

According to Mondottica, every gram of the first Hackett Bespoke sunglass collection has been carefully crafted using the finest parts, materials and techniques. For a more comfortable fit, the new UTX technology allows the frames to be 30 percent lighter than normal and half the thickness of a regular frame. Style HSB838 features graduated faded acetate with a retro nod, while HSB835 combines a lightweight silhouette and a vintage-inspired eye shape with authentic riveted hinges and metal end piece details. Each handmade frame is fitted with anti-reflective reverse coated lenses.
