Safilo’s Bobbi Brown Debuts 25th Anniversary Collection

More Images
Quick Take: The latest release from Bobbi Brown Eyewear by Safilo celebrates the 25th anniversary of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. The collection is influenced by Bobbi Brown’s iconic 10 lipsticks that she introduced in 1991 at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.
Specifics: One optical and three sun styles for women.
Selling Points: According to the company, the newest release of eyewear incorporates elevated metal detail and colorations parallel to original 10 Bobbi Brown lipstick shades, honoring and celebrating 25 amazing years of education, empowerment and beauty. Based on the number 10 red lipstick, the glossy Hemsley optical frame features a round, acetate front and sleek, flex temples with a slightly curved metal nose bridge and decorative metal detailing on the upper corners of the front.
Influenced by the number 9 lipstick, Burnt Red, the Alice sunglass is distinguished by a glamorous, shallow rectangular shape and gold metal touches along the outer edges of the frame. In combination with the rounded lens in a butterfly shape and thin gold metal accents along the outer edges of the frame front, the Lucy incorporates the pink number 6 lipstick in the endpieces and interior of the frame. Inspired by the number 2 beige lipstick, the Truman aviator features a metal front highlighted by a beige enamel along the contour of the lightly mirrored lenses.
Bobbi Brown said, “The original 10 lipsticks hold an important place in my heart—these are the colors that launched my beauty brand in 1991. What better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand by releasing an eyewear collection inspired by these original 10 lipstick colors and continue helping women feel empowered and beautiful. I look at this as yet another extension of the brand to encourage women to be who they are.”
