ClearVision Unveils Marc Ecko Cut & Sew Collection

More Images
Quick Take:
ClearVision Optical has introduced the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew collection of eyewear in partnership with fashion designer Marc Ecko.
Wearer: The Marc Ecko guy is 20 to 40 years old and young in spirit; a masculine, cool guy who pays meticulous attention to detail and grew up on R&B, rock and hip hop.
Specifics: Thirteen optical styles and five suns.
Selling Points: The Marc Ecko Cut & Sew collection reflects a new American sensibility that re-imagines cult classics; the collection brings modern, contemporary looks to the men’s eyewear market. The initial launch collection features details inspired by turn of the century industrial and utilitarian tools like the knurling often seen on machinist tools and microphones and textures reminiscent of vintage foot lockers, driving gloves and car vents. The color palette includes black, blue/black, olive drab and green khaki which are suggestive of “covert operations” and give the collection a stealth and feeling of authenticity. The logo is reminiscent of the unique detailing inspired from a pair of tailor shears. The launch of the collection is being supported by a combination of traditional media, digital technology, social media and events, as well as custom virtual try on technology.
