Mondottica Launches Yohji Yamamoto Eyewear

More Images
Quick Take: Mondottica has launched the Yohji Yamamoto eyewear collection including both optical and sunglass frames.
Wearer: The inspiration for the Yohji Yamamoto 2015 eyewear collection came from Yamamoto’s original three-word brief “Dramatic, Avante Garde and/or Intelligent.”
Specifics: His newest collection features variations of rich colors, round shapes and highlights a high-end piece on the front while emphasizing personalization on the temples.
Selling Points: The collection’s palette, fit and cut reflect the designer’s personal layers of dark, somber shades of clothing. According to Yamamoto, “Black is modern and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy, but mysterious.” The palette has been developed exclusively with Mazzucchelli; while the collection’s monochrome lenses have been developed with Christian Dalloz to match the bespoke acetates.
