Santinelli Debuts LT-980 (HC), A Versatile New Tracer

Product:
LT-980 (HC) Tracer
Top Line: Santinelli International is introducing a new generation tracer, the LT-980 (HC) Tracer, featuring high-curve frame trace capability with fully automatic operation.
Close Up: The unit’s unique design makes use of a variable stylus fulcrum which keeps the axis angle perpendicular to the frame at any height. The unit’s sophisticated software then calculates the effect that the curve imparts with respect to size, reproducing the best digitized frame data available.
In addition, the tracer utilizes 50 percent less stylus pressure to the frame than previous models and thereby eliminates the potential for distortion on even the thinnest, most flexible of frames. This is achieved by altering the angle approach of the stylus-to-frame whereby the pressure is dispersed over a larger area of the frame and at various angles, rather than merely the standard 90 degree angle. Furthermore, this low pressure, coupled with a Tungsten-carbide stylus tip, reduces abrasion which prolongs the lifetime of the tracer’s stylus and improves tracing accuracy.
Vital Stats: The three axis assemblies—horizontal, vertical and rotational—control and guide the stylus operation, establishing an effective free floating center axis capability. These mechanisms are completely sealed, thereby protecting the mechanical core of the tracer from frame debris. As a result, the LT-980’s technology will provide years of trouble-free operation and optimum performance, according to Santinelli International.
