Briot’s New Entry Level Edger Features Precise Shape Recognition Technology

Product: Briot Perception Edger
Top Line: Briot USA, a brand of the Luneau Technology Group, will launch its newest edging system at International Vision Expo. Perception, a feature packed, entry level edging system, introduces Briot’s patented Gravitech technology, a new concept in optical shape recognition.
Close Up: Perception, designed on the popular Emotion platform delivers a compact, sleek, all-in-one system with multiple functionalities geared for ease-of-use and fast processing of lab work. Perception features easy shape modification, parallax free digital blocking, and a flexible edging process to meet the individual requirements of each job.
Multiple programs for bevel, groove, safety bevel, and polishing allow for high quality finishing results. The robust job memory allows up to 300 jobs to be stored and easily accessed, while the large shape memory can store up to 200 shapes at a time. Perception is also enabled for remote tracing via OMA V3.07 for maximum performance and flexibility in finishing requirements.
Vital Stats: The Perception is powered by Gravitech, a new technology where shape information is captured using a patented algorithm based on the gravity point of the lens to achieve highly accurate measurements within five seconds of lens placement. Edging around the gravity point allows for perfect shape reproduction and precision in sizing, resulting in an exceptional first fit ratio, according to Luneau.

Reticare Filters Protect Electronic Device Users from Toxic Light Emissions

Product: Reticare
Top Line: Reticare is a protective filter for electronic device screens that improves visual comfort, reduces eyestrain, blurry vision, sleep disorders, as well as reduces the risk factor of macular degeneration produced by the negative effects of short wavelength light. The protective sheet filter absorbs part of the most energetic radiation of the light emitted by screens of electronic devices, which is linked to the reduction of melatonin levels and certain types of cancers. Absorption of this type of light in in-vitro experiments improved retinal cell survival rate by up to 83 percent, according to Reticare, Inc., which noted that retinal cells cannot be regenerated.

“Reticare emerges from the necessity to protect the eyes of all native digital users and young children,” explained Nilo Gracia Manchado, CEO of Reticare, based in Madrid, Spain. “Our mission is to build awareness of the potential danger over extended use of electronic devices can have on our ocular health. Our number one priority is to protect the eyes of children and young adults, due to the fact they lack the natural protection that absorbs the short wavelength light emitted by electronic devices that is developed through time.”
Close Up: Reticare has a unique structure to help absorb the toxic light emitted from electronic devices. It is composed of four distinctive layers. The first layer consists of a high uniform adhesive silicone layer. The second layer serves as a protective barrier that absorbs part of the potential toxic light and reduces visual fatigue. The third layer serves as a protective layer from scratch marks, and the fourth layer allows your electronic device to function 100 percent with tactile movements.
Vital Stats: Reticare protective sheet filters are available for most popular smartphones, tablets, desktops, and laptops models. A universal model is also available for devices that need to be customized to fit the screen of the electronic device. All products come with easy to install instruction guide.
