Rodney McKiel.
DALLAS—Optical Lab Software Solutions (OLSS), a global leader in optical lab management software technology, announced the appointment of Rodney McKiel as president. In his new role, which became effective Sept. 1, 2021, he is responsible for leading the commercial sales and operations of OLSS group worldwide. McKiel succeeds Aaron Hood who, after three years as president of OLSS, has taken a new leadership role within parent company EssilorLuxottica. McKiel is a 17-year veteran of the optical industry.

He first joined in 2004 where he served as president of OMICS Software based in Moncton, NB Canada, until the company was acquired and merged with OLSS in 2010. Since then, McKiel has held a variety of senior leadership roles for the group, most recently as senior director of operations and customer experience, and is a member of the OLSS board of directors. He will remain based in Moncton, NB Canada.
