SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Shamir Insight announced several changes in its executive leadership, effective April 1. Pierson Ball, the company’s director of business and strategic development has been appointed vice president of sales. Ball joined Shamir in 2007 and brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role. Mark Becker, vice president of operations and strategic partnerships, will take on an expanded role focusing on building stronger relationships with Shamir’s laboratory partners and key customers, the announcement said.

Becker joined Shamir in 2014 bringing many years of leadership experience including executive roles in business development, operations, marketing, and sales management and has also held equity roles in independent retail and wholesale companies.

Phillip Pasit has assumed new leadership responsibilities as vice president of marketing, continuing to build Shamir’s strategic product campaigns and contributions to the top and bottom-line growth initiatives of the company. Pasit joined Shamir in 2020 as director of marketing with a portfolio displaying years of leadership in product marketing and sales synergy.

Shamir Insight is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shamir Optical Industry, Ltd., an Israel-based company. It serves as the company’s sales and marketing center for the U.S., Canada, Central and South America and Mexico.
