LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y.—DigitalOptometrics has formed a strategic alliance with Melling Medical to offer its remote eye health and vision exam system to the Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals, Indian Health Services, the Bureau of Prisons, and other federal government healthcare facilities in the U.S. “Comprehensive, cost effective, quality remotely performed eye exams can now be available to Veterans and employees of Federal departments and agencies in understaffed, underserved and remote medical and other facilities,” said Howard Fried, OD, founder and president of DigitalOptometrics. “Veterans can now receive a complete subjective refraction coupled with a quality eye health and vision analysis exam performed remotely by a licensed optometrist.”
