Nicola Zotta.
NEW YORK—VMAIL has learned that Nicola Zotta, president and CEO of Marchon Eyewear, a division of VSP Vision, will be leaving the company in early May. In response to questions from VMAIL, a company spokesperson said, "Nicola and his wife are moving back to Italy to raise their children close to family, and he will pursue a new opportunity outside of the optical industry. Nicola will continue to lead Marchon until May 6. Following that, Nicola's direct reports will report to Earnie Franklin, VSP Vision’s chief operating officer, until Nicola’s successor is named."

Zotta joined Marchon in 2009 as managing director of EMEA and APAC, and was promoted to president of Marchon in 2016.

“As president of Marchon Eyewear, Nicola has been instrumental in driving record growth and helping ensure the company is poised for success now and in the future,” said Michael Guyette, president and CEO of VSP Vision. “We wish him all the best as he returns to his home country of Italy with his family.”

“Over my 13 years with the company, I’ve been fortunate to lead Marchon’s global expansion through a truly world-class eyewear portfolio of fashion, lifestyle and performance brands,” said Zotta. “I can proudly say that Marchon is recognized as one of the fastest growing global eyewear players and have no doubt that the team is well-positioned for continued success.”
