BLACKWOOD, N.J.—U.S. Vision, a leading retailer of optical products and services with more than 370 locations across the country, announced the JCPenney Optical “Eyes on the Prize” sweepstakes. This sweepstakes supports its new brand launch of Mita sustainable eyewear and offers visitors at 249 JCPenney Optical locations a chance to win an electric car or other environmentally friendly prizes. The consumer initiative follows the company's announcement last September that it was embarking on an exclusive, nationwide partnership with Mita eyewear, which is produced using recycled water bottles, and their cases and cleaning cloths are also made using upcycled materials.

“The Eyes on the Prize sweepstakes is the perfect opportunity for shoppers to learn about our new sustainable eyewear brand at JCPenney Optical,” said Eric J. Bertrand, CEO, U.S. Vision. “We look forward to doing our part to help the environment with our assortment of Mita frames, and we felt it was important to celebrate that commitment to sustainability in a big way.”

This sweepstakes will run for a total of six weeks and ends on Nov. 11. Visitors will have a chance to enter to win the grand prize of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select. Ten additional people will win eco-friendly prizes such as a NEST energy-saving programmable thermostat, Allbirds upcycled men’s or women’s sneakers, or a national parks annual pass. All winners will also receive a pair of Mita eyewear.

Eligible parties can visit a JCPenney Optical store to enter the sweepstakes. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Entries are limited to one per person. Minors and sponsor-related parties are not eligible. Winners will be announced on or around November 22. Brand names are the trademarks of their respective owners.
